Caithness Ventures is run by successful local business people with considerable experience across a number of sectors, who are keen to give something back.

We seek to help business start-ups and growing businesses, in Caithness, with practical advice and guidance. We also have access to private investors who will provide equity funding, in appropriate cases.

These days there is plenty of good business advice available both locally and online. Some of these resources are included in the Links section. However, there is no substitute for real experience and we wear the T-shirts.

We aim to be flexible and, therefore, have no prescriptive criteria as to who we will help or the type of assistance on offer. General business advice and guidance is available whichever sector you are or will be operating in. But, we don’t know everything. Currently, our specialist knowledge is limited to the following general sectors:
